„Idealer Standort, um nicht nur Lissabon, sondern darüberhinaus zu erkunden
Das Hotel liegt keine 3 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof Oriente (in Sichtweite) entfernt, im ehemaligen Expo-Gebiet. Von diesem Bahnhof aus ist man in 2 Metro-Stopps am Flughafen und in ca 15 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Von hier aus fahren Regional- sowie Langstreckenzüge, ein riesiger Busbahnhof verbindet jede Destination, national sowie international. Sintra ist zB. mit einer Art S-Bahn in einer knappen Stunde zu erreichen. In 2 Minuten zu Fuß ist man an der Wasserfront und am Ozenarium. Das Casino ist direkter Nachbar. Viele Restaurants (zusätzlich natürlich zum Hotel-Restaurant) liegen in diesem Gebiet zwischen Hotel und Ufer und das große Vasco da Gama Einkaufszentrum liegt direkt gegenüber des Bahnhofs, also auch nur wenige Geh-Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Hinter diesem Einkaufszentrum liegt auch ein Touristen-Büro (AskMe), welches allerdings - im Gegesatz zu dem am Flughafen - samstags und sonntags geschlossen ist. Hier kann man den Gutschein der Lisboa Karte umtauschen! (Tipp...im Hotel wusste keiner darüber Bescheid!) Das Zimmer ist groß, ruhig und gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber und genauso das Badezimmer. Wir hatten in der 8. Etage einen Ausblick auf die 17 km lange Brücke in Richtung Süden über die Flussmündung des Tajo in den Atlantik. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet alles, was man sich wünscht, wird variiert und ständig frisch aufgefüllt. Die Bedienung ist in der Regel sehr aufmerksam. Man kann, wenn man möchte, auch auf der Terrasse frühstücken! Zwei Aufzüge sorgen bei der Größe des Hotels für flotte Beförderung. Ja, das Hotel ist nicht in der urigen Altstadt gelegen.....aber wir fanden es eine echte Abwechslung und Erholung nach Treppen und steilen Anstiegen mit engen Gassen einfach auch geraden, breiten Wegen zu gehen.
Vielleicht kann es manchen Gästen durch die Größe unpersönlich erscheinen! Wir hatten damit kein Problem! - Schade, dass an der Rezeption keiner über das Touristenbüro Bescheid wusste, denn dadurch hätten wir uns eine Extra-Fahrt zum Flughafen ersparen können!

In allen Belangen Top! Super Anbindung an die Metro (Oriente) und nur zwei Stationen vom Flughafen Entfernt. Gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Ruhige Zimmer und sehr bequeme Betten.
